Sheriff's Detectives are investigating a shooting that wounded a man in Lemon Grove.

It happened on Saturday, February 6th just after 1:30 a.m. in a parking lot in front of a business located in the 7600 block of Broadway. 

Several people inside the business told deputies they sheltered in place after hearing the sound of gunfire.  Two customers went outside and found a man who had been shot.  Believing an ambulance wouldn't arrive in time, they put the victim inside their car and drove him to the hospital.  His condition is unknown.
