Detectives from the Valley Center Sheriff's Substation are investigating a shooting that wounded a man in Pala.
It happened on Saturday, February 6th at 4:58 p.m. Deputies responded to the Pala Tribal Law Station located in the 35000 block of Pala Temecula Road in Valley Center. A man suffering from a gunshot wound had been dropped off by an unknown person. The injury was to his thigh area. The man was triaged by the Pala Fire Department and flown to a hospital where he is currently being treated for a non-life threatening wound.
The suspect ran from the area after the shooting and is still outstanding. Deputies were able to find the crime scene. Detectives are continuing the investigation.
