Detectives from the Rancho San Diego Sheriff's Station are investigating a shooting that wounded a man in Lemon Grove. 

On Saturday, February 20, 2021, at about 9:16 PM, deputies from the Lemon Grove Patrol Station responded to a report of shots fired in the 3100 block of Vista Avenue in the City of Lemon Grove.  Deputies arrived on scene and were unable to locate a victim.  A short time later, the Sheriff’s Communications Center was contacted by staff at Paradise Valley Hospital advising that a male with an apparent gunshot wound had arrived at the hospital, stating he had been shot in Lemon Grove.  The male victim was transported to a trauma hospital where he is being treated.  His condition at this time is unknown. 

The identity of the suspect is unknown.  The circumstances behind shooting are undetermined at this time.
