Sheriff's Detectives are investigating a shooting that wounded a man in San Marcos.

The event took place on Thursday evening, February 25th, at 10:50 p.m. in a residential neighborhood in the 3800 block of La Rosa Drive.

A witness phoned 9-1-1 to report hearing a heated argument outside the house, followed by several gunshots.  The witness stated her nephew had been shot and a relative was taking him to a nearby hospital.  The victims condition is unknown.
