The San Diego Superior Court has ordered the conditional release of Sexually Violent Predator (SVP) Albert Carder.  If you live in the community of Jacumba Hot Springs, the California Department of State Hospitals (DSH) has recommended the placement of Albert Carder at 45612 Old Hwy 80, Jacumba Hot Springs, CA 91934. Carder was convicted of Lewd and Lascivious Acts with a Child and Kidnapping, dating back to 1987 and 1989. 

While this address falls within the jurisdiction of the San Diego County Sheriff's Department, NEITHER THE SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT, THE SAN DIEGO COUNTY DISTRICT ATTORNEY'S OFFICE OR THE SEXUAL ASSAULT FELONY ENFORCEMENT (SAFE) TASK FORCE IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE SELECTION OF THE PROPOSED SITE. THAT SELECTION PROCESS IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF DSH AND THE SAN DIEGO SUPERIOR COURT.

With the hearing scheduled for May 17, 2024, the SAFE Task Force will be accepting public comments about the proposed placement to be included in the formal response to the court and the Department of State Hospitals.

This is your opportunity to support or object to the proposed placement before it is finalized. The District Attorney's Office and the SAFE Task Force will submit your comments to the court for the court’s consideration.

Comments will be accepted between April 17, 2024 and April 30, 2024.
