On March 16, 2008 just before midnight, Brandon Johnson and his best friend, Donnell Davis, were shot and killed while riding in a car on eastbound State Route 54 near Briarwood Road in Bonita.

Brandon, Donnell and two other friends were heading home from a bowling alley in Chula Vista when a car pulled alongside and fired multiple gun shots into their car.  The shooting led to a crash that injured the surviving passengers.

More than 13 years later, no suspects have been identified and no arrests have been made in this case.  The Sheriff's Homicide Unit and the Johnson and Davis families continue to look for justice for Brandon and Donnell.  We want to talk to anyone who may have information that will help us find the individuals behind these murders.

A $51,000 reward is being offered for information that leads to an arrest and conviction.  That includes a $50,000 California Governor's Reward that was issued in 2010 in an effort to generate new leads in this case.
