Train vs. Pedestrian Collision

On April 15th, 2021 at about 10:10 p.m., a Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF) train was traveling northbound near the Old Town Transit Center located at 4005 Taylor Street in the city of San Diego.  As it crossed the Taylor Street grade crossing, the train struck a pedestrian.  The pedestrian involved in the collision was found to be deceased upon arrival of emergency services.  Deputies of the Sheriff's Transit Enforcement Unit are investigating the incident.
