The following information is fragmentary and has not been completely verified.  It is based, in part, on hearsay and is intended for early information use rather than being a formal investigative report.

On April 15, 2021 at about 5:30 p.m., Sheriff's deputies responded to the 1500 block of Presioca Street in Spring Valley for a report of a shooting. When they arrived, they found an adult male lying in the street with trauma to his upper body. Unfortunately, the male was pronounced deceased at the scene. 

The Sheriff's Homicide Unit responded and has assumed responsibility of the investigation.

The identity of the male is known to investigators; however, his name is being withheld pending family notification.
