On Friday, July 25, 2025, at approximately 3:48 P.M. deputies with the Vista Sheriff's Station responded to a report of a collision involving a solo vehicle that occurred in the 700 block of Shadowridge Drive, in the City of Vista.
The 23 year-old driver, and solo occupant, was driving eastbound in their sedan when they entered the center median and collided with a tree. The driver was transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital where they tragically succumbed to their injuries. No other vehicles or pedestrians were involved in the collision.
The cause of the crash is currently under investigation by the Vista Sheriff's Station Traffic Unit and the Medical Examiner's Office.
It is unknown if the use of alcohol or drugs was a factor in this ongoing investigation.

Se está investigando una colisión fatal de un solo vehículo.
El viernes 25 de julio de 2025, aproximadamente a las 3:48 P.M., agentes de la Comisaría del Sheriff de Vista respondieron a un informe de una colisión que involucraba a un solo vehículo. El incidente ocurrió en la cuadra 700 de Shadowridge Drive, en la ciudad de Vista.
El conductor, de 23 años y único ocupante, circulaba hacia el este en su sedán cuando invadió la mediana central y colisionó con un árbol. El conductor fue transportado en ambulancia a un hospital cercano donde trágicamente falleció a causa de sus heridas. No hubo otros vehículos ni peatones involucrados en la colisión.
La causa del accidente está actualmente bajo investigación por la Unidad de Tráfico de la Comisaría del Sheriff de Vista y la Oficina del Médico Forense.
Se desconoce si el uso de alcohol o drogas fue un factor en esta investigación en curso.
