On Sunday, September 7, 2025, at about 2:35 p.m., deputies from the Ramona Sheriff's Substation responded to the 700 block of Eighth Street in Ramona, reference an assault with a deadly weapon. Upon their arrival, Deputies discovered an adult individual suffering from traumatic injuries. Deputies requested paramedics and they arrived soon after. Unfortunately, the individual succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The decedent's name is not being released at this time, pending confirmation and notification of family members.
Sheriff's Homicide detectives are conducting an investigation, interviewing witnesses, and gathering more evidence. At this stage of the investigation, the motivation and circumstances of the crime are still under investigation.
Based on information gathered so far, this appears to be an isolated incident and there is no danger to the community.

Homicidio – Ramona
Una persona fue agredida y murió.
El domingo 7 de septiembre de 2025, alrededor de las 2:35 p.m., los agentes de la Subestación del Sheriff de Ramona respondieron a la cuadra 700 de Eighth Street en Ramona, haciendo referencia a un asalto con un arma mortal. A su llegada, los agentes descubrieron a una persona adulta que sufría lesiones traumáticas. Los agentes solicitaron paramédicos y llegaron poco después. Desafortunadamente, el individuo sucumbió a sus heridas y fue declarado fallecido en la escena.
El nombre del difunto no se divulga en este momento, a la espera de la confirmación y notificación de los miembros de la familia.
Los detectives de homicidios del alguacil están llevando a cabo una investigación, entrevistando a testigos y reuniendo más pruebas. En esta etapa de la investigación, la motivación y las circunstancias del crimen aún están bajo investigación.
