On Wednesday October 29, 2025, at about 7:00 p.m., deputies from the Vista Sheriff’s Station responded to a report of a collision in the 500 block of North Melrose Drive, Vista.
Preliminary investigation revealed a motorcyclist was riding northbound on North Melrose Drive. An SUV entered North Melrose Drive, westbound from Dove Circle. The motorcyclist attempted to avoid the collision but struck the SUV.
The rider was ejected from the motorcycle and came to rest along the west curb line of the southbound lanes. Responding California Highway Patrol officers and deputies began CPR until fire department personnel arrived. Despite life-saving efforts, the motorcyclist was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver of the SUV remained on scene and cooperated with investigators.

Colisión Fatal – Vista
Motociclista fallecido, colisión bajo investigación
El miércoles 29 de octubre de 2025, alrededor de las 7:00 p.m., los agentes de la Estación del Sheriff de Vista respondieron a un reporte de una colisión en el bloque 500 de North Melrose Drive, Vista.
La investigación preliminar reveló que un motociclista circulaba hacia el norte por North Melrose Drive. Un vehículo SUV ingresó a North Melrose Drive en dirección oeste desde Dove Circle. El motociclista intentó evitar la colisión, pero impactó contra el SUV.
El conductor de la motocicleta fue expulsado y quedó tendido junto al borde oeste de los carriles en dirección sur. Oficiales de la Patrulla de Caminos de California (CHP) y agentes del Sheriff que respondieron al lugar iniciaron maniobras de resucitación cardiopulmonar (RCP) hasta la llegada del personal del departamento de bomberos. A pesar de los esfuerzos por salvarle la vida, el motociclista fue declarado fallecido en el lugar.
El conductor del SUV permaneció en la escena y cooperó con los investigadores.
