Michelle Craig serves as a Lieutenant for the Office of the Sheriff in the Division of Inspectional Services (D.I.S.) unit.  During her 26 year law enforcement career, she has worked a variety of positions including Detentions, Patrol, Community Oriented Policing, Traffic, and various investigative units including Area, Special, Domestic Violence, and Sexual Assault. Prior to her law enforcement career, she was a Deputy Clerk with the San Diego County Municipal Court.  After 21 years in law enforcement, she promoted to Sergeant and completed assignments at the County Administration Center and North Coastal Command.  As a Lieutenant, Michelle is the Sheriff's Department’s Standards and Compliance Manager.  D.I.S. assesses internal processes and reviews high-risk events in order to promote a more efficient, effective and economical operational environment throughout the Department.  Michelle is married, with three children and resides in northern San Diego County.
