Do you have a 5^th grader who wants to be Sheriff for the Day?

Now is their chance! This is an exciting opportunity for one lucky 5th grader from San Diego County to spend the day with Sheriff Kelly Martinez and experience what it's like to be the Sheriff of San Diego County! They will learn about being a leader in law enforcement, helping their community, and get the experience of a lifetime as honorary Sheriff for the Day!

• The student must be a 5th grader in San Diego County
• The student must write a short paragraph (5-10 sentences) about why they would like to be the Sheriff and how they would help their community
• Parent or guardian permission required to participate, including consent for photographs or video recordings of the student to be used for promotional or informational purposes related to the event.

The Sheriff for the Day Experience

• Get pinned with an official Sheriff badge
• Shadow the Sheriff
• Tour the Sheriff’s Headquarters and visit Sheriff teams and units
• Ride in a patrol car & more!
