The San Diego County Sheriff's Office is proud to offer a variety of youth-focused programs that educate, inspire, and prepare the next generation of leaders. Encouraging curiosity and innovation, the Youth in STEM program introduces students to science, technology, engineering, and math through hands-on experiences and mentorship from professionals.

The San Diego County Sheriff's Office Explorer Program is a youth initiative that offers young adults the chance to explore their interest in law enforcement through hands-on experience.

RESPECT Project

The RESPECT Project is a mentoring program for high school students, led by San Diego County Sheriff's deputies. It includes 16 weeks of classes, fitness, and team sports. Graduates can return for leadership and support services like meals, tutoring, and career help. The facility also offers a fitness center, art room, and gaming area.
