I'm brand new! (Create your CCW Pro Account)

If you had an application already in our old program, you will need to create an account in CCW Pro to continue the process.

Read the questions and follow the instructions very carefully. When you apply for a CCW Pro account, it will ask you for specific information so that the system can check to see if you already have an application.

If you do, the next step is for US TO MATCH you. This brings your application over to the new program so you don't have to fill everything out again.

Until you are matched, your CCW Pro dashboard will say "Pending Review."

I need to add/remove a firearm

If you are adding a firearm, you must qualify with it first with one of our approved vendors. They will fill out and provide you a CCW Qualification Certificate stating you successfully qualified with the firearm(s).

In CCW Pro, click on the Modification button if you need to make changes to your existing CCW. Note: if you are within 45 days of the CCW expiring, you will not see a modification button. There will only be a renewal button.

Upload that CCW Qualification Certificate, make the necessary changes to the firearms listed in your account. If you are just removing a firearm, you do not need to go to one of the vendors. Just remove it from your listed firearms.

After staff reviews your request, they will send an email requesting the fee.

The CCW is typically mailed out 4-6 weeks after you pay the fee.

When Do I Pay?

FOR BRAND NEW APPLICANTS:

You do not pay when you create the CCW Pro account. You will pay an application fee and livescan fee at or before your appointment date.

If you are approved, you pay the final issuance fee at the end of the process. We will contact you to let you know you can log in to your account and Make Payment.

FOR RENEWALS, MODIFICATIONS AND/OR DUPLICATES:

Renewals: You do not pay at the time you submit the renewal application. After staff reviews your application, they will activate the payment option so you may pay your fee.

Modifications and Duplicates: payment is due upon submission.

a) Any person who files an application required by section 26175 knowing that any statement contained therein is false is guilty of a misdemeanor.

b) Any person who knowingly makes a false statement on the application regarding any of the following is guilty of a felony:

(1) The denial or revocation of a license, or the denial of an amendment to a license, issued pursuant to this article.

(2) A criminal conviction.

(3) A finding of not guilty by reason of insanity.

(4) The use of a controlled substance.

(5) A dishonorable discharge from military service.

(6) A commitment to a mental institution.

(7) A renunciation of United States citizenship.

WHAT'S NEXT?

Now that you have a CCW Pro account:

You are ready for your CCW appointment (if you are brand new). No further action is necessary.
You can RENEW YOUR CCW if you are within 90 days of your expiration date. There is no appointment for renewals.
You can MODIFY YOUR CCW twice during the period that your CCW is valid (add/delete a firearm or legal name change). Address changes are not held to the two modifies limit. There is no appointment for modifications.
